Water Baby

Check out those baby blues!

Sawyer went for his first "swim" the day he turned 3 months.  We had dipped his toes in once before and he screamed, so we waited until the water was really warm at Grandma and Grandpa Wolf's pool before giving it another try.  We hadn't planned on him swimming so we didn't even have a swim diaper with us in his size, but we stripped him down and let him take a short dip.  (Note to anyone with babies: regular diapers swell to an unbelievable size and nearly explode if they are in water for even a short amount of time!)

He loved it!  He tried out the little boat for awhile and then wanted to be held.

With Grandma Wolf

We've taken him once since this time and he really relaxes in the water.  Most of the summer he was just too little to have outside for very long or to even think about putting him in the water, so it is nice that there are a few hot days left to take him swimming before the end of the summer!  Next summer he'll be one!  It will be so different!
